Prime Minister Patrick Manning is Fucking Crazy
I'm under a lot of stress lately, but this has in no way impacted on this post, well ok maybe just a little.
I'm just fedup of being logical and pragmatic by saying that the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Patrick Manning is a megalomaniac, schizophrenic or just simply stupid. Some really WTF events have occurred this week which have now placed him into the "Fucking Crazy" category of assholes, yes, he is no ordinary asshole :

H1N1/Swine Flu Alive and Well in Trinidad
The first Swine Flu/H1N1 case was confirmed in Trinidad on the 5th of June. Since then we’ve
heard talks about pandemic preparedness, medical procedures, isolation arrangements, some random idiot doctor in Tobago saying on the news that they have a “cure” for the Swine Flu, Tamiflu, etc.
It was inevitable that the virus would come to [...]

Woman Jumps Off Cliff to Escape Rape Assault
This is an amazing story from the Trinidad Guardian about a woman who jumped off a cliff to
escape a group of men who robbed, assaulted her and were about to rape her.
Yet another example of the totally out of control crime situation in Trinidad. The woman was jogging along St. John’s road in St. Augustine, [...]

Trinidad Media Sensationalism
This has been bugging me for years, I just never spoke about it, but I’m totally fedup of it now : media sensationalism.
For the past 5-6 years, all of the front page stories and headlines on most of the daily newspapers are either the following :
1) Doom and gloom reporting about a murder/suicide/robbery/death/crime
2) Politics and [...]

T&T Attorney General Resigns over “Clico Conflict of Interest”
The Attorney General of Trinidad Bridgid Annisette-George has resigned.
According to the Newsday :
http://www.newsday.co.tt/news/0,100951.html
She cites a potential conflict of interest over the Clico matter as her reason.
However the Guardian speculates that she didn’t “toe the line” and was thus forced out of the party :
http://guardian.co.tt/news/general/2009/05/28/ag-did-not-toe-line
Regardless of the real reason, the words “Clico”, “conflict of interest” and [...]

After spending between TT$1-$2 billion on the ever so wasteful Fifth Summit of the Americas, stories like this come up which just highlights how the Summit is a total waste of money.
