The Undisputed Truth

I’m now “there” in life I guess as I now own a brand-spanking new Research-in-Motion Blackberry. Thankfully Digicel had a sale and I got the Pearl Flip for TT$1000 ($158 US). Its one of those things where its only as you own one you realize how much you’ve been missing out on before. I guess if I ever am lucky enough to buy a Ferrari I’ll have the same feeling.

I’m not spending what I could use for a laptop or maybe even a friggin CAR if I’m lucky on the Blackberry Storm, so no it doesn’t have an accerlometer and touch screen and all that bullshit, but it “Blackberrys” quite fine as I get emails instantly, I chat, I steal wi-fi, I download a bunch of cool shit for it, and its just great. Its like a genie in my pocket. Its a nice feeling being connected to the world and your friends 24/7. No wonder Obama is addicted to it.

By default all I got was Blackberry Messenger, which I haven’t figured out how to use as yet, but I stumbled upon a program that I felt compelled to share because its just the best thing ever.

The program is Palringo, and its awesome because you can chat with all your accounts from the following services :

• Windows Live Messenger ® (MSN)
• AOL ® Instant Messenger (AIM)
• Yahoo! ® Messenger
• Google Talk ™
• ICQ ®
• Jabber ®
• iChat® / MobileMe ®
• QQ ®
• Gadu-Gadu ®
• Facebook Chat (Alpha)

Just create a Palringo account, then use your logins for MSN, Facebook, Yahoo, etc and you can chat with all your contacts through Palringo at the same time, using just Palringo.

As if that wasn’t great enough, Palringo is FREE.

BUT WAIT, CALL NOW and.. (lol RIP Billy Mays) Palringo also allows you to USE WI-FI to do all this stuff…this is just awesome when you’re in a hotspot or at home using your own wireless network, you can therefore have all this convenience without data charges either.
