Prime Minister Patrick Manning is Fucking Crazy
I’m under a lot of stress lately, but this has in no way impacted on this post, well ok maybe just a little.
I’m just fedup of being logical and pragmatic by saying that the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Patrick Manning is a megalomaniac, schizophrenic or just simply stupid. Some really WTF events have occurred this week which have now placed him into the “Fucking Crazy” category of assholes, yes, he is no ordinary asshole :
WTF # 1. Sunday 21nd June – “Tobago becoming independent”
PM Manning announces that plans are underway to make Tobago independent of Trinidad………just like that. Noone has asked for this, noone really cares, everyone is sorta worried about lesser important things I guess like staying alive in either islands without getting randomly killed/robbed or raped and the economic crisis. Ofcourse there are some radicals in Tobago who would welcome this, but there also are some Texans who wish Texas was independent from the USA too….does anyone or will anyone ever will listen to them? So yes, Emperor Manning has taken it upon himself to pursue plans to grant autonomy to Tobago, with no referendum, no warning, no real reason either.
WTF # 2. Sunday 21st June – “Consultancy? Democracy? Psht”
In the same speech, Manning says that consultancy “slows things down”, so its better if the ruling party (People’s National Movement – PNM) does what it thinks is right for the country. WOW. He’s basically making a case for authoritarian/totalitarian government. Is he an Ayatollah? A “supreme leader”? No, but he certainly thinks that he is and that nothing is wrong with that either.
WTF #3.Wednesday 24th June – “Stimulus packages for all!!………except your own country”
I completely missed this one as I was too hyped for the Transformers 2 premiere. I only just read this today. PM Manning has announced a series of initiatives to provide economic aid to Grenada, Dominica, Jamaica, St Vincent and the Grenadines and the Eastern Caribbean generally in light of the slowdown in these economies due to the global economic recession. The asshole said “The disparity in the economic position between Trinidad and Tobago and the rest of the Caribbean is something that is a source of concern to the Government of Trinidad and Tobago.”. Funny though, its a concern to the government, but I’m quite sure it isn’t a concern for the people the government supposedly works for, the people who elected them to see about national concerns. Who the fuck cares about the problems of someone in another Caribbean country when you’ve got a shitload of problems in your own which aren’t being attended to? Well Patrick Manning does because he is fucking crazy.
Seriously, all that’s left now for him now is to run around Port-of-Spain in nothing but a jester’s hat and skirt playing the Ukelele singing “I’m like a bird” to make it 101% certain to me.
How can you forego matters of national interest for naive, romantic, regional goals which benefit you in no way?
How can you plan to carry your country to first-world status when shit goes on at the Licensing Departments (equivalent to the Department of Motor Vehicles) which date back 100 fucking years? (if you lose your driver’s license, they go through a huge notebook of names and dates to issue you a new one)
Its intellectual torture to be aware of anything the government under Manning does these days. I wish I had a surrogate like Bruce Willis.
