Guide to Running DotA in Windowed Mode on Garena
This is a very useful trick to run Warcraft 3 or DotA in windowed mode.
By default, Warcraft 3 launches full screen. Even video or gameplay options don’t allow you to change that.
It can be done quite easily however with 6 characters typed in the right place in Garena.
First, go to any room :
Then click settings to get here :
Then just type -window in the Game Bootstrap Parameters field :
Then start a game to test it out :
As you can see, you now have access to your taskbar and system tray.
Alt-tabbing is a lesser burden on your system resources now,
You may want to either exit your messengers like MSN or set them to disable pop-up notifications as they completely block you from clicking on your skills/issuing orders unless you know the hotkeys. Enjoy.
