Using /squelch on Garena DotA
Are you tired of flamers, trolls or idiots on the your own team pissing you off?
“ROFL DIE NOOB (whenever you die)”
“NOOB??? (for no reason)”
“LOLROFLMAO (racist shit) LOLOL”
“WTF HOW DO U USE TANGO??”
“OMG WHY DIDN’T YOU GET X-ITEMBUILD ON X-HERO”
“SOLO MID (5 minutes after you bought a bottle and you’re solo mid already)
“(constant chat flood with some shit in Tagalog, Chinese, Spanish, etc)”
Well here is a little known technique of shutting these people up for the entire game.
First, we’re going to use the -hhn command
-hhn hides the name of the heroes so instead of seeing the player colour and then hero name you just see the player colour. This is useful by itself but it also sets up the following :

First identify the player you want to mute, in this case I chose grey, sojuj0a, then type /squelch (playername)
So here it was /squelch sojuj0a
If spelt correctly and done correctly you should see this :

For the rest of the game, anything he types will be totally ignored, i.e. you will not see it. This is the ultimate command really, not even maphack can stop that.
You can resume seeing chat from the poor player by typing /unsquelch (playername)
So here it was /unsquelch sojuj0a and you’ll get something like this :
Always remember to use -hhn first or it doesn’t work.
You’ll have to hope that the player’s name is simple however as if he had a coloured nick..(explained here)
you’ll have to go back to the Garena main window, find his name and type it, including the hex code. For example if this guy “Khaos” has a coloured “haos” in Khaos so it appears as something like this : Khaos
You can’t just type /squelch Khaos
You’ll have to type /squelch K|c00000000haoS
So either endure the nonsense of coloured nick players or those with long nicks in different languages or be prepared to go AFK for a few minutes to sort them out, pen and paper may be needed.
