T&T Attorney General Resigns over “Clico Conflict of Interest”
The Attorney General of Trinidad Bridgid Annisette-George has resigned.
According to the Newsday :

She cites a potential conflict of interest over the Clico matter as her reason.
However the Guardian speculates that she didn’t “toe the line” and was thus forced out of the party :

Regardless of the real reason, the words “Clico”, “conflict of interest” and “resign”
were used together.
I’m not even aware of what conflict of interest exists between Annisette-George and Clico, but
the conflict of interest between Finance Minister Karen Nunez-Tesheira (maybe its a hyphenated name thing) is clear as day :
$2 Million Dollar Conflict of Interest
Antics of Nunez-Tesheira and Manning Goes Global
Sign the Petition for Karen Nunez-Tesheira to Resign
Yet the woman is boldfacedly remaining in office and the public doesn’t seem to care (hence the epic fail on my petition). The irony of this is just too much.
