What the Hell is Icefrog’s Problem?
Seriously. its approaching two or three months now and still no sign of DotA 6.60.
Yet to my surprise Icefrog said the following on his blog :
“Hey guys. I apologize for the delay since my last post. I’ve been focused on the next update. It has a huge change log with many things that need playtesting.
One issue I’ve been trying to tackle in this patch is the organization of recipes. Most would agree that they are pretty disorganized right now, especially the 5th shop. With the addition of some items in 6.60 and the overdue need to organize the shops, I’ve been working on sorting them. I’m looking for input on organization approaches, as well as thoughts on the matter in general, so feel free to drop me a line. I might post a few screenshots of the shop layouts here.
Another extra tidbit of information, regarding Linken’s Sphere: many abilities have now been rewritten to provide better compatibility. This has been one of the most requested items to fix, so I have given it some much needed attention. While there are still some spells that do not interact well with it, there are many more that do now.
This update has been taking much longer than I had originally hoped for, but rest assured I won’t take a minute longer than absolutely necessary.”
Um, wtf. Millions of DotA players are waiting for the new update and the guy is democratically implementing insignigicant game aesthetics. Who the hell cares about how the recipes are positioned? And Linken’s Sphere is epic fail regardless of however you buff it because of its cost. Right now most people just want to see the new heroes, Bat Rider and Tauren Chieftain and the ridiculously imba hero remakes like Razor with his crazy chain-purge and Sven with his new AOE-stun.
You can always add the other shit like recipe positions in 6.61 or something.
Is he pulling the car park move? Where the driver of a car who is about to leave a spot that you want (and he’s well aware that you want it) takes extra-special time in getting out of it just for the thrill? Dammit, release the fuckin map already and stop dicking us around.

im dying to check out the new heroes and try out the new map also, but seriously lol, its not like we dont have anything to play/do while we waiting? I doubt hes “taking his time to make us thrilled”, even those “insignifcant aesthetics” that you speak off take ALOT of time and effort to fix/code.
Just be glad dota is still being updated and shit… you know how many updates/fixes hes released? (besides the point). But yeah, chillout. lol
