Summit of the Americas Propaganda??

I was quite amused and shocked to see the above ad in a newspaper today for 5th Summit of the Americas to be held in Trinidad this month.

What the hell is this supposed to be?? I’ve never even seen this part of Port-of-Spain! Note the high-rise building in the background and the newly surfaced ground.

Why is the government of this stupid country trying to live a LIE and present itself to the world as some sort of pseudo-Miami, Florida or Sydney, Australia??

Newsflash, no-one cares if 0.01% of your country looks “first-world”. Those countries have tall buildings, but they also have good health facilities, proper roads,  competent law enforcement and a government who atleast pretends to care about their constituents.

The other 99% looks like this, hidden behind a wall in Port-of-Spain :

and worst of all when people look like this, when billions of dollars are spent on spy equipment for the Prime Minister’s entertainment, a useless blimp, for the National Security Minister’s ego and other pricey “crime fighting equipment”, yet law enforcement has no answers, solutions or ideas, and your loved one is no where to be found for over a month (one of many people right now) :

It would only be fitting that :

Rain falls!! I would love to see a flood on the day of the summit.

These affected people were to protest on the day of the Summit to remove this veil of normalcy that is being deceptively pulled over this country.
